Tax returns and financial statements
Individual, sole trader, company, partnership and trust returns, with financial statements you can hand to a bank.
We prepare and lodge the return and, for companies, partnerships and trusts, the financial statements that go with it. Every return is reviewed against the previous year so we can see what moved and ask about it before lodging rather than after. Where you are borrowing, we prepare the statements in the form the lender will actually accept, which saves you a second round of questions from the broker.
What is included
- Return prepared, reviewed against the prior year and lodged
- Financial statements for companies, partnerships and trusts
- Depreciation schedule maintained and reviewed
- Division 7A loan accounts checked and documented
- A short meeting to walk through the result before lodgement
$320 to $2,400
a sole trader return sits at the lower end, a company with financial statements and a director return at the upper; most clients take the fixed annual fee instead

02How it runs
Four steps, in this order
Typical turnaround: 1 to 3 weeks from complete records. You are told which step we are on, without having to ask.
- 01 Records checklist sent to you at the start of the year
- 02 Return and statements prepared and internally reviewed
- 03 Walk through the numbers with you before signing
- 04 Lodge and confirm the assessment when it lands
03Asked often
Before you ring
If your question is not here, it is probably on the FAQ page, and if it is not there either, ring and ask.
What do I need to bring to my first return?
Last year's return and notice of assessment, access to your bookkeeping file, bank statements for any account the business uses, and details of anything bought or sold during the year. Our records checklist covers the rest.
How long until I get my refund?
Most individual assessments come back within two weeks of lodgement. Company and trust returns are not refunds so much as a balancing item, and we will have told you the number before we lodge.
Will you tell me the fee before you start?
Yes. We quote a fixed fee in writing after the first meeting, and it does not move unless the scope does and you have agreed to it.
